Modern Bakery | The Taste You Grew Up With, Still Here

Some promises are never spoken.
They are carried, quietly and faithfully, every single day.

In 1983, in the gentle hills of Rajakumary, this journey began in a modest kitchen centred around a traditional “borma.” It was not just the start of a business, but a commitment rooted in sincerity, patience, and a deep respect for doing things well. Mr. V. V. Kuriakose and Mrs. Mary Kuriakose nurtured it with care, allowing it to grow steadily with time. In the early days, it was just the two of them, a warm oven, simple ingredients, and Ammachi’s recipes carried through memory and practice, with every batch prepared and perfected with attention.

As the years passed, what was created in that small kitchen found its way into many homes, building trust through familiar taste and consistency. Even as it grew, nothing changed—ingredients were carefully chosen from trusted sources like HUL, and every step followed the same discipline and care. Today, when it reaches your home, it carries that journey with it—the same effort, the same care, and the same promise that continues to be kept.

Why Choose Us

People return for a reason. Not for variety, but for something they can rely on.

Our Journey

The growth did not happen all at once. It came step by step, over time. In 1993, an important milestone was reached with the opening of the first “borma” outlet in Rajakumary. New items like puffs, buns and other English-style bakes were introduced, bringing fresh options to the region and quickly becoming popular. As the years went on, the focus expanded to traditional Kerala snacks. In the 2000s, banana chips, tapioca and savouries were prepared using pure coconut oil and without preservatives, keeping the taste authentic and familiar.

We continued to grow gradually, reaching more places and more homes. Over time, those familiar tastes travelled beyond our hometown through family visits, journeys and orders from people who wanted to carry them wherever they went. From Mumbai and Delhi to Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi, what began locally slowly found its way into different parts of the country and today, we continue delivering those familiar flavours wherever you are.Even with this journey, the way things were made never changed. The same methods, the same attention and the same focus on getting it right remained. That is how it grew, and that is how it continues today.
